Meriwether Helps Create a New Home for the Richard Hugo House

SEATTLE, October 9, 2014 – Meriwether Partners announced their role as developer for a new mixed-use project at 1634 11th Avenue across from Cal Anderson Park in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The site is currently home to the Richard Hugo House literary center, and the project will include a new facility for the Richard Hugo House as well as approximately 80 market-rate apartments. The project is expected to break ground in 2016 and be complete the following year.

“There are so many elements to this project we are excited about. This is such a prominent site, across from the park, in one of Seattle’s most dynamic neighborhoods,” said Joel Aslanian of Meriwether. “The ownership group is committed to doing a project of commensurate quality and creating a terrific new home for the Hugo House.”
